Question
: What is PayPal and how does it work ?
Answer : The simple
idea behind PayPal, using encryption software to allow people to make financial
transfers between computers, it has turned into one of the world's primary methods
of online payment.PayPal is a safer, simpler way to send and receive money online.
PayPal is an e-commerce banking business allowing payments and money transfers
to be made through the Internet. PayPal serves as an electronic alternative to
traditional paper methods such as checks and money orders.A PayPal account
can be funded with an electronic debit from a bank account or by a credit card.
The recipient of a PayPal transfer can either request a check from PayPal, establish
their own PayPal deposit account or request a transfer to their bank account.
PayPal is an excellent example of a payment intermediary service that facilitates
worldwide e-commerce. PayPal performs payment processing for online vendors,
auction sites, and other commercial users, for which it charges a fee. The fees
charged for payment to this site are only charged to JCTS and not you, the consumer.
There are no extra fees to pay on top of the prices for items shown on this web
site, we pay the fees for the processing of the pay pal payments not you the customer.
You can pay for items you buy on eBay as well as on hundreds of other
leading retail websites, or you can use PayPal to send money quickly and safely
to anyone with an email address. You can pay with money held in your PayPal account
balance or use another payment method such as a credit card, debit card or your
bank account. PayPal never shares your financial information with sellers or retailers.
If you make a payment through PayPal, you will receive an email notification
from PayPal, the money will be debited from your chosen account or card linked
to your PayPal account. We will also send you an email confirmation of you order
as soon as payment has been received. Its free to sign up for a
PayPal account.

: How do I open a PayPal account ?
Answer : To open a PayPal
Personal follow these steps:
Visit the PayPal website at www.paypal.co.uk
Click Sign Up at the top of the page Select your country
or region from the drop down menu Select your preferred account type ( most
people have personal accounts ) and click Get Started Enter your
information, including your full email address and choose a password (it must
contain at least 8 characters and is case sensitive). You will need these to log
in to your PayPal account.
From there, you will go to a page that asks
for your basic personal information -- your name, address, telephone number and
e-mail address. You will also be required to enter two security questions in case
you lose your password, and you have to enter a randomly generated series of letters
and numbers, which help prevent fraud. Once you confirm your account by following
instructions you'll receive via e-mail, the sign-up process is done. Adding
a valid, current credit card to your account will allow PayPal to confirm your
address (if it matches where you receive your credit card statements). Having
a confirmed address shows both buyers and sellers that you are less likely to
be a scammer. You can also use your credit card for PayPal's Expanded Use service,
which allows you to draw money from the credit card, instead of just from a bank
account.
Get verified to move funds between your bank account and your
PayPal account.
If you want to add funds to your PayPal account from your
checking account, or vice versa, you need to enter and verify your bank account
with PayPal. When you enter your account number and sort code number, PayPal will
make two small payments to that account. These payments are usually about 5-10
pence. PayPal will then ask you to enter those amounts in order to verify the
account (they'll show up on your bank statement as deposits ). After you enter
them, your bank account will be ready for use.
